SpringHill Suites Charlotte Center City Wedding | Desirae & Will

This summer I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful couple at the SpringHill Suites Charlotte Center City. Desirae and Will were an amazing couple and their attention to detail and commitment to efficiency was amazing. I truly want to thank Desirae and Will for such an amazing time and I can’t wait to witness the growth of your union in the future!

\Before their wedding day even arrived, we had several discussions about their schedule, preferences, and special requests. This pre-planning was vital because it allowed me to anticipate potential challenges and ensure everything ran smoothly. We went beyond discussing their timeline but really dug deep into the important shots, and we even visited the hotel a few months before their big day. I always encourage my wedding couples by addressing everything in advance, you’ll have one less thing to worry about.

Preparing for your Wedding at the SpringHill Suites Charlotte Center City

Your wedding day will be one of the most exciting and possibly overwhelming days of your life. With so much to think about, from family accommodations to flowers, it’s easy to feel like you’re juggling a million things at once. But don’t worry! As your wedding photographer, it’s my job to help make sure you stay calm and focused so you can enjoy every moment.

Desirae opted for a meeting space on the 2nd floor of the hotel for her and her bridesmaids. This unique room offered a ton of space for the girls while giving us access to the rest of the hotel. One of my favorite parts of this room, and the hotel, is the large windows! This was the perfect place for reflection and wedding details.

Will and his groomsmen decided to get ready in their suite and utilize the rooftop terrace outside of the wedding ceremony area. His fellas enjoyed the cityscape backdrop of Uptown Charlotte and the cinematic tones of their room.

My first wedding at Springhill Suites Charlotte Center City

One of the highlights of shooting in at SpringHill Suites Charlotte Center City was the exceptional natural light that flowed through its large windows. Whether it was the soft morning glow or the warm afternoon rays, the light played a crucial role in enhancing the mood and tone of my shots. The well-designed interiors, with their strategic placement of mirrors and light fixtures, further amplified the natural illumination, making every shot pop with vibrancy and depth.

Sleek, minimalist furnishings to ornate architectural details, the SpringHill Suites Charlotte Center City provided a dynamic contrast perfect for capturing diverse photographic styles. The interplay of modern amenities and historic elegance creates a visual narrative that’s both rich and multifaceted.

Let's Explore Uptown Charlotte

What’s one of the benefits of photographing a wedding at SpringHill Suites Charlotte Center City? As soon as you step outside you’re in the heart of the city! Directly across the hotel, is the home of the city’s NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets. I was able to take a couple a block away to get some more fun shots, but most importantly, give them a break and truly enjoy each other!

My favorite part of the night: Let's Party

Typically an hour after the dance floor opens, I start to pack up and allow the guest to let loose and not worry about being captured. However Will and Desirae’s wedding party and guest were a great time. It was beautiful hearing their closest friends, share unbelievable stories and memories that I know will last a lifetime.

Once the sun set, the reception space at the SpringHill Suites Charlotte Center City was beautiful for photographs. The depth of the room, paired with LED up-lights, made every shot seem magical.

It was amazing working with everyone at the SpringHill Suites Charlotte Center City. From the staff, vendors, guests and the incredible Thomas family, this wedding was one for the books.
